Emirates online check-in

It today’s instalment from our series about how to check in when flying various low-cost airlines and traditional carriers we are going to look into how to check-in online when travelling with one of the most respected carriers world-wide – the fast growing Dubai-based Emirates which recently launched yet another European route Copenhagen – Dubai.

Emirates’ check-in online procedure allows you to save time by doing on the screen of your laptop what you otherwise would do at an overcrowded airport. It is available for all passengers with a valid e-ticket. Check-in opens 24 hours before the scheduled departure and closes 90 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Airport parking – all you need to know

The issue of airport parking is a hot one and there are many questions associated with it. What kind of parking options are available? What does short-term valet parking mean? And how short is short-term parking? So before you set off to the airport in your vehicle, make yourself acquainted with facts. We decided to use London Heathrow, one of the most popular European airports, as example.

 

Short term parking


That is a good option for those who simply give somebody a ride or are going to pick up a relative at the airport. Short Stay Parking at Heathrow is available at every terminal, not far away from the entrance. The option can be used for stays ranging from just a sec to 5 hours. Examples of prices are £2.70 for parking up to 30 min or £4.50 for parking 30 – 60 min.

Online check-in has become ever more popular as a means of saving time and money. How does this work when flying with the London Luton-based low-costg airline easyJet? Let us go briefly through terms and conditions and compare it with the traditional check-in at the airport.

Check-in online

This option is available from 60 days before your the departure until 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Just find the check-in bar under the booking window and type in your booking reference and last name. Once you checked in, print the boarding pass.
