New routes from and to Vilnius
February 22nd, 2011
Here comes a tiny supplement to yesterday’s post on new routes and services – new Lithuanian routes announced by
the Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair.
Ryanair set up its base in Kaunas in 2010 and following the success of its Lithuanian expansion, it now opens a couple of new routes connecting Airport Vilnius (which serves the capital of Lithuania) with some top European destinations. As of May 2/3, 2011 it will carry passengers from Vilnius to Barcelona (Girona), Dublin, London (Stansted), Milan (Bergamo) and Rome (Ciampino).
Ryan estimates it will carry around 250,000 passengers annually on the new routes.
