Hi fliers! After a tiny break, our weekly preview of new routes and services is back. Today’s highlights feature as usually some various traditional carriers as well as low-cost airlines. Without further ado, we start off with Hawaiian Airlines.
It was with pomp and circumstance that Hawaiian Airlines opened its next transatlantic route from Honolulu to Osaka. It is not the first service to Japan from this Hawaiian carrier – the first one was launched to Airport Tokyo last year.

We start off with two new Nordic services from Air Berlin. Firstly, this low-cost carrier provides now a cheaper alternative on the Hamburg – Reykjavik route and engaging in competition with Lufthansa. Secondly, good new for those who dream of visiting the picturesque isle of Bornholm. Flights Berlin Bornholm are now in operation. Both routes are seasonal and stop to operate in August.

Very untraditionally, the latest updates on new routes and services from low-cost airlines as well as traditional carriers come on Tuesday. This week seems not to offer so many new developments. Well, apparently the aviation industry needs a break as well.
We start off with the renowned Qatar Airways which announced the opening of new routes connecting its hub in Doha Airport with Uganda, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The route to Entebbe will be in operation as of November 2, 2011, whereas the flights to Baku and Tbilisi are to be launched on November 30, 2011.

Hi guys. Traditionally on Monday we publish our weekly preview of the latest developments in the world of aviation – new routes and services and other news from the low-cost airlines as well as traditional carriers.
We begin with quite a few changes in the route network of the British low-cost carrier bmibaby. This carrier announced it would close down its bases in Manchester and Cardiff and stop flying from these airports. One of the implications of it is that the Manchester – Prague route will be discontinued. The planes serving the routes which are to be discontinued will be redeployed to Belfast, Birmingham and Belfast.

The dynamic and uninterrupted growth of the Doha-based airline Qatar Airways has been the subject of our posts more than once. We have e.g. reported that this renowned carrier had reached the magic number of 100 destinations and launched a whole range of promotions in order to celebrate it properly.
