Hawaiian Airlines announced an airfare deal for roundtrip travel on nonstop transpacific flights between Hawaii and its 10 gateway cities on the U.S. mainland starting in January, with savings up to 25%.
To take advantage of the discounts, tickets must be purchased by December 16, 2009, for travel from January 5 through June 10, 2010, excluding the period of March 12 through April 5, 2010.

SAS Scandinavian Airlines is the world’s third most punctual major airline, according to the latest statistics from Flightstats, which tracks over 150,000 flights per day. SAS also remained its position as Europe’s most punctual major airline.
Flightstats’ punctuality statistics for September shows that SAS Scandinavian Airlines’ on time punctuality for September was 93.54%, as 20,682 of its 22,110 flights arrived on time.

With the first of its new fleet of long range, wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft arriving in April, Hawaiian Airlines will expand its service from Hawaii’s largest visitor markets for the summer peak travel season with the addition of three daily flights to Hawaii from California. Hawaiian also announced it would put the first two of its new A330 aircraft into service on the Los Angeles – Honolulu route starting in June.
Hawaiian is adding two daily nonstop flights to Maui – one from Oakland and the other from San Diego – as well as another daily flight between Los Angeles and Honolulu, beginning June 17, 2010.

In 1929, only the most intrepid adventurers were familiar with the miracle of flight. So the visionary founders of Inter-Island Airways sought out the sturdiest, most comfortable aircraft of the day to introduce Hawaii residents to air travel: the Bellanca CH-300 Pacemaker.
Inter-Island Airways, later renamed Hawaiian Airlines, would go on to introduce Hawaii’s first scheduled air service between the islands with two amphibious Sikorsky S-38 planes. But it was the Bellanca that got residents used to the idea of traveling by air.

Hawaiian Airlines announced today they have selected PRIMO water as the exclusive bottled water offered with their new Premium Coach Meal program and as a key addition to their newly executed sustainability program. The new Premium Meals are now available for purchase on all flights between the mainland US and Hawaii.
The PRIMO water bottle is the only nationally distributed single serve beverage bottle made from plants, not petroleum.

Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings, and Korean Airlines today announced a newly-expanded code-sharing agreement that will allow Hawaiian to offer its customers nonstop service between Hawaii and Korea, as well as connecting service on flights within Korea and five other destinations in Asia.
The carriers plan to begin expanded code-sharing operations June 15, 2009, with Hawaiian placing its “HA” booking code on flights operated by Korean between Incheon, South Korea and Honolulu, and on flights between Incheon and Busan in Korea as well as points in Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Hawaiian Airlines earned the distinction of being the nation’s top-ranked carrier for service quality in 2008, as reported by the 19th annual national Airline Quality Rating (AQR).
“Our congratulations go to the employees of Hawaiian Airlines, whose focus on the customer never wavered during another challenging year in the airline industry. They are the best in the business,” said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian’s president and CEO.
The AQR study for 2008 found that Hawaiian was the industry’s top-ranked airline for on-time performance at 90.0 percent. Hawaiian also ranked second nationally for denied boarding performance at 0.07 per 10,000 passengers and for mishandled baggage at 2.97 per 1,000 passengers.
