The middle-eastern Abu Dhabi-based carrier Etihad Airways has proven that India is among its important markets by launching a direct service to its eighth Indian destination and the third most populous Indian city – Bangalore.
The new Abu Dhabi – Bangalore service is operated four times a week and the frequency will be increased to daily flights as of March 25, 2011.

The Abu Dabi-based Etihad has signed a codeshare agreement with the South-Korean Asiana Airline. It will come into force on December 10, 2010.
The agreement will offer the customers of both carriers increased connectivity between Airport Abu Dabi and Seoul as well as on other routes which will be added gradually. Daily flights Abu Dabi – Seoul will be in operation as off December 10, 2010.
The partnership between Etihad and Asiana will also include such areas as rewards programs or marketing and sale.
The agreement is believed to increase the traffic between United Arab Emirates and South Korea which is considered an important market by United Arab Emirates.

Etihad Airways announced that it would introduce its first “all economy” class aircraft into its fleet in this October. The two Airbus A320s will be configured to carry 162 economy class passengers. Etihad plans to expand the “all economy” fleet to 10 aircraft in total so that the airline will be able to launch more new short haul flights which have not such demand for premium travel.
The all economy cabin aircraft destinations that have high demand for economy traffic – these are especially routes from Abu Dhabi to Alexandria, Calicut, Colombo, Damascus, Doha and Thiruvananthapuram. For more details visit Etihad’s website.

Etihad Airways announced that it would start new flights to South Korea from December 12, 2010. Flights from Abu Dhabi to Seoul will be operated daily with Airbus A330-200.
The new service will allow South Korean air travellers onward connections via Abu Dhabi to such destinations across the airline’s global network as Istanbul, Athens, London, Paris or South Africa. Seoul’s Incheon Airport will become already the 65th destination on Etihad’s network. For details continue to Etihad’s website.

Etihad Airways announced that it would start a new service from Abu Dhabi to Alexandria in Egypt from July. New flights will be operated four times a week every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Etihad will operate an Airbus A320 aircraft on the Abu Dhabi to Alexandria route which is configured to carry 136 passengers. The airline also started flights to other destination in Egypt – Cairo in November 2004 and flies double daily to the Egyptian capital. For more details continue to etihad.com.
