Etihad Airways has rescheduled flights to and from Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka to ensure better flight connections with Etihad destinations in Western Europe and North America.
Etihad airways flight EY253 from Dhaka to Abu Dhabi now departs daily at 5:10 am and 8:55 am, local Dhaka time. Etihad Airways flight EY258 departs from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka at 3:55 am and 9:25 pm, local Abu Dhabi time.

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates Etihad Airways has secured seven additional weekly flight frequencies from its base in Abu Dhabi to Australia. The seven flights can be operated to any gateway in Australia which includes Etihad’s current destinations of Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Etihad currently flies 21 times a week between Abu Dhabi and Australia. This includes 11 flights to Sydney, seven to Melbourne and three to Brisbane. The new flight slots will available from March 2011.

The award recognises the growth of the airline during the past 12 months, as well as its continued investment in world-class products and excellence in customer service standards.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline picked up the award at a glittering ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last night, attended by representatives from across the travel industry. The judges, comprised of senior buyers and leading business travel journalists, recognised Etihad’s remarkable growth during 2009, which included the addition of eight new routes to the Etihad network, as well as the launch of the airline’s new first class product and the airline’s Inspired Service strategy – a concept built on Etihad’s vision to be the best airline in the world.

An initiative originally designed to ensure a clean look to the Etihad fleet has proven to have significant environmental benefits.
The trials of “Permagard”, a polymer coating applied to the exterior of Etihad’s aircraft has demonstrated significant savings in washing water and cleaning fluids, as well as a potential improvement in fuel efficiency from reduced drag on the aircraft. As a result Etihad has now committed to having its entire fleet treated with this clear coating.

This year the User Experience Alliance (UXalliance), a global network of leading user research firms, celebrated World Usability Day by unveiling the preliminary findings of the first “Global-Local Monitor” conducted on airline Web sites.
The Global-Local Monitor assesses how well a site is localized or adapted to local language and culture. Localization is based on factors such as the proper use of local languages, character sets, weights and measures, currencies, dates and times, and culturally sensitive imagery.

One of Europe’s largest regional airlines Flybe announces a new codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways which will provide air travellers in the UK greater and easier access to the Abu Dhabi-based airline’s rapidly expanding network of more than 50 destinations.
Under the deal, Flybe will place its ‘BE’ code on Etihad’s flights between Paris, Frankfurt and Manchester and its Abu Dhabi home base. In turn, the Abu Dhabi-based airline will place its two-letter ‘EY’ code on a number of services operated by Flybe between the same three destinations as well as Southampton, Isle of Man, Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham and Exeter for travel effective November 13.

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates Etihad Airways has launched flights to its latest destination in India, the city of Hyderabad.
Etihad is the first airline to operate flights between Abu Dhabi and the state capital of Andhra Pradesh. Initially operating four flights a week, Etihad will increase to daily from the start of 2010.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will launch services to Nagoya and Tokyo in the first quarter of 2010 – the airline’s first destinations in Japan.
Etihad will operate a four flights a week service to Nagoya, via Beijing, from Monday February 1, increasing to five flights a week from March 27 (subject to regulatory approval).

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is to host the 18th Annual Conference of the International Association of Airline Internal Auditors (IAAIA) in the airline’s home base of Abu Dhabi from Sunday November 29 to Wednesday December 2, 2009.
The annual conference brings together chief audit executives and senior audit staff of most major airlines worldwide. It will be the first time the conference has been held in Abu Dhabi and follows previous successful events within Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
