It happened again – the spectre of strike looms over travellers. Passengers flying to or via London Airport (LHR) will probably face major disruptions on Wednesday November 30, 2011 when even as much as 2.6 million public sector employees are due to walk out in protest over pension changes.
The problem for travellers is that among them are UK Border Agency employees. The British authorities are taking measures in order to minimize the impact of the strike by training volunteers and fetching help from other departments.

History likes to repeat itself. It did not take long after the dust has settled down after the eruption of Eyafjallajökull, before yet another Icelandic volcano woke up and rumbled. Grímsvötn erupted on Saturday and by now the cloud ash has reached Norway and Scotland causing small disruptions there.
The current situation is very unclear and changing. The ash cloud is believed to reach Sweden by Tuesday but the forecast are not always precise – e.g. the Norwegian aviation authorities did not expect the cloud to reach Norway so quickly.

Hi there. We start off this week with quite a number of new routes in an attempt to keep YOU updated. We will look into the new services very briefly as the sheer quantity does not allow us to go into the details.
One year ago Allegiant moved 10 of its routes from Orlando Sanford International Airport to Orlando International Airport but now announced the homecoming of all ten routes in a bid to consolidate its all Orlando flights. The routes in question are e.g. Orlando Sanford – Allentown, Orlando Sanford – Des Moines or Orlando Sanford – Lexington. By now the return of all the routes should be accomplished.
While Allegiant is reshuffling the existing routes, Skyways is growing big time. Following the merger with Avia Express and a shift in ownership, this Swedish-based low-cost airline is adding six new international destinations and one domestic destination to its route network. The carriers new base becomes Airport Jönköping. The change will be marked by the opening of new services from Jönköping to Brussels and from Jönköping to Berlin Tegel. Both services will be in operation as of March 28, 2011.

In just 15 years easyJet has grown from a small two aircraft operation to become the UK’s largest airline, operating out of 16 airports across the UK from Inverness down to Bristol. In addition the airline is making significant headway in Europe. easyJet is now the leading airline at many major European airports such as Milan Malpensa, and is the second largest airline in France and Switzerland. easyJet currently offers over 500 routes across 29 countries with a fleet of nearly 200 aircraft.
