On entering your departure city and e-ticket number or confirmation code, you simply select the travellers you want to check in, verify your itinerary and print your boarding card. Easy-peasy.

The Luton-based low-cost carrier easyJet strengthens its position in Edinburgh by setting up three direct routes: Ediburgh – Athens, Ediburgh – Tenerife and Ediburgh – Grenoble. The keywords are city getaways, skiing and sunbathing. The flights will be in operation in September.

New seasonal services from Alaska Airlines

The Seattle-based carrier Alaska Airlines expanded recently its route network with some seasonal flights. This concerns two services – one to Mexico and one to Hawaii.

The first of them (the San Diego – Puerto Vallarta service) is daily and whereas the second one (Portland-Kona) flies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Both are now in operation and on sale. In addition to the affordable prices for those who book quickly, the passengers can look forward to another attraction – Hawaiian-style food and beverages on board on the the Portland-Kona route.

Alaska: new flights from San Jose & Sacramento to Guadalajara

Alaska Airlines will inaugurate service from San Jose to Guadalajara from December 15, 2010 and from Sacramento to Guadalajara starting December 16, 2010. Tickets will go on sale pending government approval of the new routes. The new flights will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Alaska Airlines announces new services

Alaska Airlines announced that it would launch new services from San Jose to Los Cabos. New flights will be operated with Boeing 737-700 three times a week on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from November 20, 2010.  All details can be found at alaskaair.com.

Alaska Airlines: new Hawaii flights from Bay Area to Kauai

June 28th, 2010

Alaska Airlines announced that would inaugurate service from San Jose to Lihue (on the Hawaiian island of Kauai) on March 27, 2011, and from Oakland to Lihue beginning March 28, 2011.

Introductory fares for the new routes start at $179 each way for tickets purchased by July 9, 2010, and travel through May 17, 2011. The new Hawaii flights will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The new flights will complement the airline’s existing Hawaii service from San Jose and Oakland to Kahului, Maui, and Kona and new flights from Sacramento to Kahului, which started in March of this year.
