Tiger Airways and Qatar Airways receive awards
The Singapore-based Tiger Airways crowns what its CEO, Tony Davis has described as a «phenomenal year» with receiving Low Cost Airline of the Year award from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation.
A thankful and proud Tony Davis referred to the good financial results in the recent years despite the unfavourable financial climate. When commenting the lengths to which the company goes in order to meet the customers’ demands, he specifically mentioned the latest product – the membership scheme «Stripes».
Qatar Airways received the Best Middle Eastern Airline title for the fifth year in a row at the annual TTG Asia Pacific awards held in Bangkok and in addition to this honorable distinction this carrier was named the Best Middle East Airline for the second consecutive year at the 2010 Business Traveller Asia Pacific Awards at a ceremony in Hong Kong.
The awards are an expression of recognition from the readers of TTG Asia and the monthly Business Traveller Asia Pacific. Allow us to add that Qatar Airways is so far the only one carrier in its region to have received five stars from Skytrax.
