Wizzair: Further expansion of the route network
Wizzair, the airline which never fails to emphasise they are considered “the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe”, continues the expansion of its route network as well as its hub network. Recently we informed you about a new route from Poland, and today we hasten to let you know about some fresh, new developments.
Firstly, good new for Czechs who live in the Moravian region. As of December 16, 2010 they can fly directly to the fifth busiest airport in the United Kingdom – London Luton from Brno 3 times a week. Along with this new service, Wizzair will increase the frequency of flights on the Prague – Luton route. Introductory fares start from only CZK 337.
Secondly, there came the announcement that in Belgrade there is going to be established Wizzair’s 13th operating base (as of April 2011) which together with the opening of 5 new services (to Rome, Stockholm-Skavsta, Malmö, Eidhoven and Munich-Memmingen) is undoubtedly joyous news for Serbian travellers. The new services will be launched gradually starting from December 15, 2010 for Rome and Malmö.
