Low cost airlines’ baggage policy: Cebu Pacific

Some time ago we have presented serial about low cost airlines‘ policy. Lets continue and find out more about baggage policies. But remember that the baggage fees change quite often and that it is necessary to follow the airlines’ websites to find the latest updates. Today we will present you one of the Asia’s favourite low cost airline – Cebu Pacific.

Low cost airline Cebu Pacific belongs to the most favourite and also the largest low cost airlines in Asia. The airline flies to both domestic and international destinations. What should you know before buying an airline ticket with them? How to pack your suitcase?

Cabin Baggage

One of the things that low cost airlines offer for free is cabin baggage. Free cabin baggage allowance is 1 piece of cabin baggage. It should weigh no more than 7 kg and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm .

Checked Baggage

Each passenger is permitted to check in bags with a maximum weight of 15 kg. However, for airports using ATR-72 aircraft the baggage allowance is only 10 kg.

Excess Baggage

Cebu Pacific’s passengers can also carry more than checked baggage weighing 15 kg. Excess baggage fee differs according to the destinations – domestic routes are charged from PHP 100 per kilo and international routes are charged up to PHP 600 per each kilo. Cebu Pacific offers a possibility to book a prepaid excess baggage. The fares are lower – fees can be found here.

I think the 10 kilo baggage allowance is only for Boracay and Siargao-bound flights. Other ATR flights still allow 15 kilos. Also, Clark flights to Bangkok, Macau, Hong Kong and Singapore allows 30 kilos free baggage allowance as a special promo until June 30, 2010 only. :)

Hello :) I am very sorry but I don’t understand your language – we are not connected with Cebu Pacific – if you have any problem please contact directly the airline. They should be able to help you.
