Low cost airlines’ baggage policy: JetBlue

Cabin Baggage

One of the things that low cost airlines offer for free is cabin baggage. Free cabin baggage allowance is 1 piece of cabin baggage. Maximum weight is not set however the carry on baggage should not exceed the maximum dimensions of 45.72 cm x 38.1 cm x 20.3 cm (18“ x 15“ x 8“).

Checked Baggage

Each passenger is permitted to check in bags with a maximum weight of 22 kg – the sum of all three dimensions (length + width + height) should not exceed 157.48 cm (62″) in total.

Excess Baggage

JetBlue’s passengers can also carry more than checked baggage weighing 22 kg. Excess baggage fee is now set $50 for each bag. Moreover, if your baggage weighs more than 45 kg the excess baggage fee rises to $100 for bag. If your baggage exceeds 203.2 cm you have to pay $75 per bag.
