TAP Portugal increases services to Africa
TAP Portugal announced that it would open a new route to Marrakech in June. New service will be operated 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The company continues to pursue its expansion strategy in Africa, which is the only part of its network to have shown steady growth since 2001.
With the opening of this new route in June, TAP will now cover a network of ten cities in eight African countries, operating a total of 55 flights per week between Portugal and Africa. In Morocco, Marrakech now joins flights from Lisbon to Casablanca, which is currently served by 13 flights a week. TAP flies seven times a week to both Sal and Praia in Cape Verde, and operates the same frequency to Dakar in Senegal.
The company increased its service to Luanda to 10 flights per week last year. TAP also flies the Maputo / Johannesburg route three times per week, as well as running one extra direct flight a week to the Mozambican capital. Finally, the airline operates three flights per week to Bissau and one to São Tomé. Continue to details and timetable flytap.com.
