Lufthansa and Germanwings pilots on strike

February 22nd, 2010

Lufthansa‘s and Germanwings‘ pilots are on strike from Monday February 22 until Thursday February 25 2010. About two third of the affected Lufthansa flights will have to be cancelled. Lufthansa regional partners will operate their flights almost according to schedule.

The special flight schedule for the period of the strike can be accessed at lufthansa.com and germanwings.com. Depending upon the actual operating conditions during the days of the strike, further changes could be made to the special flight schedule.

Passengers already booked on a Lufthansa flight in the period February 22 – 25 can rebook one time free of charge on another Lufthansa flight, if they wish to change their travel plans – provided their ticket was issued before February 18, the new travel date is before May 31, 2010.

Passengers already booked on a Germanwings flight in the same travel period can also rebook one time free of charge flight – provided their ticket was issued before February 16, the new travel date is before March 25, 2010. Any changes can’t be made in the departure and arrival destination.
