JetBlue to add 34th nonstop destination from Boston

December 16th, 2009

Low cost airline JetBlue announced plans to further grow its presence in Boston with new daily nonstop service to San Jose, California, beginning May 13, 2010. San Jose will be JetBlue’s 34th nonstop destination from Logan International Airport, where the airline already offers service to more nonstop destinations than any other airline — including daily nonstop flights to the Bay Area’s other airports in San Francisco and Oakland.

One-way sale fares for JetBlue’s new route begin at just $99 each way. JetBlue’s new route connecting two of America’s key technology centers will be the only nonstop service between the two cities, complementing the airline’s existing nonstop service between San Jose and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport — the only other nonstop air service between Silicon Valley and the Northeastern United States.

JetBlue’s new San Jose route will be operated aboard the spacious Airbus A320 which offers travelers premium amenities like unlimited free snacks and drinks, all-leather seating, the most legroom in coach of any U.S. airline,  36 channels of free DIRECTV(r) programming, more than 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio, and a free first checked bag.
