We are going on a ski trip to France in Jan. and flying Air France and wonder if there is going to be an extra charge for ski and boot bags. In the past there has been no charge?? Thanks
The transportation of sporting equipment is subject to specific conditions and depends on the type of allowance applied to your flight. You will find details at this site.
I am traveling with an electric guitar in a soft padded bag-am I able to take this on board?
Some musical instruments are accepted in the cabin with no prior agreement necessary (violin, mandolin, banjo, etc.). An agreement is necessary for the transportation of bulky and fragile instruments (cello, double bass, etc.) that must travel on a seat.
For your information
The maximum weight of your musical instrument cannot exceed 75 kg.
The packaging must have rounded edges.
The allocated allowance cannot be increased.
I would recommend you to call directly to Air France’s call centre or to look at airfrance.com for details.
My son is going on a student exchange… can he carry a laptop computer as well as his backpack on the plane..
Thanx
According to airfrance.com your son could carry hand baggage which can consist of 1 standard bag (1 suit bag is considered a standard bag) + 1 accessory (handbag, notebook computer, camera, etc.). Maximum total weight authorized 12Kg/26.5 lb. Hope this helped you.
Merci
Les réglements sont les memes. Bon voyage!
dare sir or madam could you plase let me know what allowance i am aloud from newcastle england to regina canada thank you
Your baggage must not exceed 158cm/62 in. (height + length + width), 32Kg/70 lb in general. A certain weight depending on your destination and travel class – e.g. if you travel to from UK to Canada in Voyageur your baggage allowance is 1 item of baggage, weighing 23 kg. However, I am afraid that Air France doesn’t offer Newcastle – Regina. Air France flies only to five cities in Canada: Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
