easyJet double award winner for Best Low Cost Airline

Low cost airline easyJet has this month won two awards as Best Low Fares Airline voted for by readers of two national publications.

Business Traveller Magazine, this week unveiled easyJet as the best Low Cost Airline for 2009. The awards, based on readers votes, have been running for over 20 years, and this is the 9th consecutive year that easyJet have beaten off competition from the likes of Air Berlin, Flybe and bmibaby.

In addition, the readers of the Sunday Times Travel Magazine, have also voted easyJet as their Favourite Budget Airline.

Paul Simmons, the UK’s Regional General Manager commented:

“We are delighted that easyJet has won the Business Traveller Magazine’s “Best Low Cost Airline” award 2009 for the 9th year in a row, as well as the Sunday Times Travel Magazine award for the “Favourite Budget Airline’. It’s especially pleasing for us because the awards have are based on reader votes, the Business Traveller Magazine’s awards are the “Oscars” of UK Business arena, and demonstrate what a powerful product and brand easyJet represents to the UK business travel community.”
