flydubai adds extra flights to Beirut

September 14th, 2009

Dubai’s first low cost airline flydubai will give a boost to one of its busiest routes this Eid Al Fitr with the announcement of extra flights to Beirut. To accommodate anticipated heavy demand, flydubai has scheduled additional flights on September 17, 18, 19 and 25 departing from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2 at 7.40pm and arriving in Beirut at 10.15pm (local time).

For passengers wanting to travel to Dubai the return flight will take off from Rafic Hariri International Airport, Beirut, at 11pm (local time), arriving in Dubai at 3.20am.

Passengers have the option to purchase checked-in baggage in advance at just AED 40 for the first piece and AED 100 for the second, weighing up to 32 kg, subject to availability. Checked baggage at the airport is also strictly subject to availability and passengers are advised to book online early to secure the space, as only pre-purchased baggage can be guaranteed.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai added: “The extra flights will allow more people to spend the festive season of Eid with friends and family and will be popular to those planning a short getaway during the holidays. This is a busy season for travel so we urge passengers to book early so as not to be disappointed.”
