Vienna airport suspends services for SkyEurope

August 14th, 2009

Vienna airport announced that it would suspend services to SkyEurope because the debts to the airport have not been paid as agreed. The airport will discontinue the provision of handling services at midnight on Friday, 14 August 2009. Any SkyEurope aircraft whose departure is scheduled after midnight on Friday, 14 August 2009, will not be handled by Vienna airport and no other services of any kind will be provided for this airline.

Passengers, who have book a flight to or from Vienna with SkyEurope, should contact the airline directly using the phone number 0042-1-23301 7301.

Apart from this problem, SkyEurope faces another threat from its employees. They received an email today with request to accept delay in their salary payments. If the employees refuse this request, SkyEurope will have to announce bankruptcy.
